Zambia
Known as one of Southern Africa’s wildest countries, Zambia is a classic safari destination that combines excellent game viewing, luxury lodges and some of the best guides. While the reserves and parks attract many visitors, they don’t attract the same crowds as some of the better-known parks in Africa due to the country’s more remote location. While less visited, many visitors to the area prefer to see the majestic Victoria Falls from the Zambian side.
Zambia has a great choice when it comes to reserves and national parks. For example, you can go on a walking safari accompanied by an expert guide in South Luangwa – an area rich in wildlife and endemic plants. Or if you prefer a water-based safari and spot hippos and crocodiles, you can choose a canoe river safari in the Lower Zambezi. Of course, Zambia also offers classic game viewing safaris that you can enjoy in the wild Kafue National Park. It’s possible to combine different experiences and regions on one trip – and we’d highly recommend it for an excellent Big Five safari!
