About the Okavango Delta
The Okavango Delta is the world’s largest inland delta and home to the most incredible birdlife, the Big Five, huge quantities of other wildlife and a mosaic of water lilies, papyrus and reed beds. The abundant waters of the Okavango channels gives rise to a dense forest of tall trees which force their way upwards in search of sunlight. The Sausage Tree is striking and easy to spot because of its heavy fruit and large, crimson flowers.
