Quietly gazing at the serene dignity of snow-capped Kilimanjaro, Tortilis Camp is a peaceful retreat brimming with indigenous charm. Watch the families of elephants loping past for their evening drink while you sip fresh sundowners under the nearest acacia.

About Tortilis Camp
Tucked away on the southwestern edge of Amboseli National Park, Tortilis Camp faces the spectacular Kilimanjaro – the highest mountain in Africa. The thatched roofs and natural stone and wood of the camp blend in with the untamed expanses that make up Amboseli.
Over a thousand elephants wander through the park, and the guides at Tortilis know each one – as well as all the territories of the host of other wildlife that thrives there.
Guests can enjoy a full breakfast out on the plains – surrounded by the wild, unspoilt beauty of Kenya. And if the game drive proves to be a bit warm; the swimming pool offers a space to cool down. Board games and a bar service are available for entertainment under the shade of the palms and the camp’s namesake: Acacia tortilis.

Tortilis Camp Accommodation
Tortilis Camp comprises 16 tents, all enjoying breath-taking views of the mountain. Each cosy tent consists of a bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a shaded verandah for a more private game viewing.
The family tent offers a double bedroom with a bathroom and one twin en-suite bedroom. Guests can share some family time on the private verandah, or enjoy a splash in a pool shared with the private house.
