About Singita Castleton Camp

The exclusive-use Singita Castleton Camp is located on a private concession in the Sabi Sands region that covers 45,000 hectares of private reserve in South Africa. This was once the home of Singita founder Luke Bailes’ grandfather and it has kept its homely atmosphere until today. Steeped in history, Castleton feels like a combination of a safari lodge and a country farmhouse. Guests can fly in on a charter plane to the nearby Singita airstrip that’s just 10 minutes away or drive to the lodge from the Hazyview airport. The drive takes 2 hours.

Singita Castleton Camp Accommodation

Castleton is ideal for families or groups. The exclusive use lodge can accommodate up to 12 guests and consists of the main house with a communal living area and a farm-style kitchen. The accommodation is available in 6 cottages on the grounds.

With warm interiors and an air of nostalgia, the décor style is complemented by botanical wallpaper and art etchings that were commissioned for the home. The secluded garden cottages are surrounded by green, lush and manicured lawns. Each cottage’s interior features industrial elements mixed with delicate, handmade furnishings. The bathrooms have black metal doors, basins set on oversized workbenches and romantic touched like framed flower prints.

There’s also a gym, spa, wine cellar, tennis court, boma, and trampoline on the Castleton grounds. Singita Castleton Camp has a personal chef, housekeeper, house manager, guide, and tracker so that guests can experience ultimate service and complete relaxation. For families, there are babysitting services and a mini-ranger program available for kids.
