Seba Camp is surrounded by open grasslands and island sanctuaries. Eight luxury Safari Tents are elevated, each with a private deck overlooking the water. Guests can enjoy observing wildlife around the perennial lagoon from their private accommodations. A communal dining area, bar and a cosy lounge, is also set on a raised deck. With spectacular views of the surrounding plains, the well stocked library is complete with reference and pictorial books. Apart from five-star cuisine, and well-trained, friendly camp staff, visitors to Seba Camp will have exclusive time with researchers and guides.
Seba Camp has an interesting history, and is a base for unique research on elephant behavior, a regular attraction for wildlife film-makers. a family friendly safari camp, named after the elephant Seba, who was historically released from the nearby Abu Camp. Seba’s claim to fame was starring in the Walt Disney movie, Whispers, filmed in the area. The word “seba” translated from the local language means whisper. Seba and a number of other elephants were released back into the wild, forming their own herd, near Seba Camp itself.
Seba Camp Accommodation
Seba Camp offers luxury safari accommodation in eight well equipped, spacious tents. Specifically designed as a family friendly safari camp, Seba Camp is a unique setting for children to learn about to the wonder of wild Africa.
Each luxury safari tent is equipped with a fully equipped en-suite bathroom, and a private deck with magnificent views of the lagoon. Two of the safari tents are family units – one is equipped with an upstairs lounge offering a pull-out sleeper couch; the other family safari tent has a loft room, well suited for older children or adults.
Seba Camp guests will enjoy gourmet meals, usually served al fresco in the communal dining area. Seba Camp is equipped with two swimming pool’s – a splash pool and a larger swimming pool are both set on raised and secluded wooden decks, overlooking the African grasslands.
