Schoone Oordt Country House is a top hotel in the Swellendam area and it has won several awards in the last years. The hotel has an intimate conservancy restaurant, a saltwater swimming pool and beautiful gardens with massive oak trees. The Victorian Manor House has been delicately restored by Richard and Alison Walker. Nowadays its run by Ian Clulow, Fidiney Runesu, Lana Schreiber and their highly trained team. The house’s interiors are fitted with modern amenities and decorated with antiques yet boasting an elegant, contemporary style.

Guests can choose to stay in one of the 6 luxury rooms inside the hotel; the luxury rooms are surrounded by a rose garden, fountain and a lush garden. The luxury rooms can sleep one child up to the age of 10 (on the single sofa). There’s also a private family cottage available, which is situated at the top of the property and is far away from other guests.

If a family requires more space then there’s the family suite, which can accommodate up to 4 children. The family suite has a private patio, garden and pool – and the two bedrooms sleep two adults and four children. If a couple would prefer ultimate privacy then they can book the honeymoon suite. It’s romantic with its four-poster bed, large bathroom and hearth.
