About Sausage Tree Camp
Set on a quiet stretch of the Lower Zambezi River, Sausage Tree Camp has a view of the mountains and river from the deck. Here you simply walk outside of the tent to see elephant and hippo who often wander into the camp. There’s also buffalo, leopard and lion in the area which you will see on your game drives. Besides the 4×4 game drives, you can also go on guided nature walks, go canoeing, enjoy some catch-and-release fishing and birding.

Sausage Tree Camp Accommodation
Guests can choose from five luxurious Bedouin-style tents that are spacious and beautifully designed. Each of the “Signature Tents” has an open-air ensuite bathroom and large sliding doors that open onto a private deck that looks directly onto the Zambezi River.
For families or small groups who are travelling together, “Kigelia House” is a family tent that has two ensuite bathrooms that are separated by a large, open-plan living area that has its own deck (that’s private) and a pool. For the ultimate service, and that you can fully relax, each tent has a butler (called “Muchinda”) who makes sure you and your family have everything you need. The tents all have hot and cold water as well as electricity.
