Situated on the border of the Lower Zambezi National Park, Royal Zambezi Lodge stretches over 200 hectares of the Chiawa Game Management Area offering a spectacular backdrop to a lavish getaway.

The simple elegance of the thatched suites, the tantalising gourmet cuisine, and the freedom offered by unfenced accommodation offset the complex beauty of Zambia. This 5-star lodge boasts kilometres of unspoiled river views as well as a resplendent mountain backdrop.

Royal Zambezi Lodge is perfectly positioned to take full advantage of the multitude of wildlife – elephant, hippo, buffalo, lion, and leopard making regular appearances. And bird watchers will be in their element with The Lower Zambezi National Park on their doorstep – the area is in fact labelled as an Important Bird Area.

Royal Zambezi Lodge comprises 15 canopied canvas tents all protected by large, mature trees. The luxurious tents all offer a peaceful retreat and are furnished with soft, natural tones and textures. Each tent allows guests the best opportunity to absorb the tranquillity of their surroundings in complete privacy.

All suites offer a private verandah overlooking the river and an en-suite bedroom with an extra-large double bed. Rooms 6 and 7 have an interconnected lounge area, making it the ideal spot for a family visit. The Deluxe Suites also include an outside shower as well as a free-standing copper bath. And guests can cool off in their private plunge pool.

And for the ultimate in luxury, the large Presidential suites take the deluxe option a few steps further by adding a private sala and large lounge area.
