About Mahali Mzuri

Voted a favourite safari camp by Condé Nast, Mahali Mzuri does not look like a traditional East African lodge. The stylish camp looks more like something that would have been built on Mars – and they’re a surprisingly bespoke and modern addition to the Masai Mara.

Most visitors come to Kenya’s Masai Mara for the Great Migration and game drives take place twice a day – in the morning and at night – through the 13,500 hectares of the exclusive Olare Motorogi Conservancy. The cuisine at Mahali Mzuri is a mixture of pan-African dishes and its flavours and spices. Guests can dine in their tent, on a deck or in the open bush – whatever the choice, the chefs are sure to delight each and every visitor.

Just a note: Guests transfer in from the Olare Orok airstrip (a 25-minute drive from camp) or Mara North airstrip (a 1-hour drive from camp) to the lodge. For a shorter drive, guests can choose the Olare Orok airstrip.

The 12 tented suites are stylish and modern, featuring an ensuite bathroom, private deck and gorgeous views over the Masai Mara’s plains. In the middle of the property is the Main Tent; there are 6 tents on either side which are accessible by a walkway. A note for older clients: the tents that are the furthest away are about a five-minute walk to get to the Main Tent.

10 of the suites can be made into twin or king beds and 2 of the suites can accommodate children on sofa beds in the living room. It is also possible to hire out the entire camp for a special celebration, anniversary or birthday.
