Lion Sands River Lodge is situated in the Sabi Sands Reserve right next to South Africa’s famous Kruger National Park. About Lion Sands River Lodge
Guests at Lion Sands River Lodge can enjoy two game drives per day with qualified trackers and rangers for a top game viewing experience. There are also other wildlife activities that can be enjoyed: hippo tours, bush walks and wildlife lectures. To top it off, Lion Sands River Lodge offers bush breakfasts, picnics and bush dinners – for those who want to be truly immersed in nature and enjoy delectable cuisine. The lodge’s treehouse is elegant and surrounded by bush, offering a completely private experience for guests who choose to overnight there.
The lodge also boasts a large open plan lounge, an outdoor seating area, two swimming pools, wooden viewing decks and bird hides. The gorgeous river island deck is the perfect place from which to experience an “armchair safari”. When guests return from their game drive, they can enjoy a first-class spa and gymnasium as well as an indoor dining area and open-air boma.

Lion Sands River Lodge Accommodation
With 18 rooms, Lion Sands River Lodge can cater for 38 guests. There are 3 room types to choose from: 8 Luxury Rooms, 6 Superior Luxury Rooms and 4 River Suites. The Luxury Rooms each have an en-suite bathroom, lounge area with mini bar, and a wooden deck. Larger in size, each Superior Luxury Room has a large open-plan bathroom and an outdoor shower. The 4 River Suites – as well as a two bedroom and one-bathroom River Suite – are located further from the lodge and are more private. Guests can enjoy the views over the river from their deck and private plunge pool.
