About Lemala Ngorongoro Camp

Lemala Ngorongoro Camp is a seasonal camp that’s located in an acacia forest. With quick and easy access to the Ngorongoro Crater, this camp wins points for its location! As the crater is a popular tourist destination – especially during high season – it’s best to get there early in the morning. Because you’re so close to the main gate and the crater rim, you won’t waste any time in the morning, and are guaranteed to be one of the first guests inside the wonderful wildlife haven.

As the Maasai tribe lives in the area, Lemala Ngorongoro works closely with the community. You can get the chance to listen to a talk about their culture, visit their village and chat with the locals.

Guests at Lemala Ngorongoro Camp can choose from 12 en-suite tents – there are 26 beds in total at the camp. With luxury in mind, the tents are spacious (fitted with 2 queen size beds!) and comfortable with an outside deck that shows off the surrounding area’s beautiful views. The bathroom has a flush toilet, a safari-style shower and running water. Outside, the loungers invite guests to sit back with a glass of wine and enjoy the sunset – or an early-morning coffee. The camp centres around the large main camp with its separate lounge and bar area.
