About Kings Pool Camp

Kings Pool is said to be named after a Scandinavian Monarch. King Leopold from Sweden spent some time camping in the area, whilst on honeymoon in the mid 1900’s. Offering exclusive luxury tented accommodation and 5 star service, Kings Pool Camp is famed for its unmatched comfort.

Kings Pool Camp is a historic safari base , set in Africa’s highest density area for elephants. Wild dog and leopard are also frequent visitors to the area. Kings Pool Camp evokes the style and luxury of a bygone era, offering nine thatch and canvas luxury safari tents, spacious and elegantly furnished. Each tent is equipped with a generous en suite bathroom featuring a double shower. Outdoor showers are also available for the more adventurous.

Expansive wooden decks link the suites to a lounge, dining room, and pub area. Raised walkways allow animals to wander freely around the camp. Kings Pool Camp guests may also enjoy a swimming pool and an open air “kgotla”, for a relaxed meal under the stars. Tented accommodation at Kings Pool Camp includes one family unit.
