About Ibo Island Lodge
Nominated as a potential heritage site, the island’s history dates back to the 1600’s and visitors can wander through the ancient town with its spectacular forts and buildings. Ibo Island has many fascinating stories for those who come to explore! The waters are rich in sea life and guests can expect to see whales, dolphins, and turtles.
Ibo Island Lodge has an ocean view and is surrounded by a large tropical garden. With three swimming pools, a private dining room, a restaurant and an open-air lounge (for drinks and stargazing), guests have plenty of activities to keep them entertained!
Purchased privately in 2007, Ibo Island Lodge has been restored to its former glory when it was once owned by a wealthy merchant. This is an eco-friendly region where the community is very much committed to the welfare of its people; and you will be transported back in time.
