About Exeter Kirkman’s Kamp

Exeter Kirkman’s Kamp is situated in the pristine landscapes of the Sabi Sands in South Africa. It’s one of the country’s most beautiful reserves where game viewing is easy – the animals are habituated to the game vehicles and Big Five sightings are common; Sabi Sands borders the Kruger National Park and is unfenced. Named after section ranger Harry Kirkman, the lodge pays homage to this famous man who worked at the Kruger National Park between 1933 and 1958.

Guests can choose from 18 luxury suites and each of the cottages has a great view of the African bush from the private verandah. At night, you can enjoy a glass of wine by your fireplace or warm up in the claw-foot bathtub. The lodge itself has a sparkling rim-flow swimming pool with a stunning view over the Sand River valley. Breakfast and lunch can be enjoyed on the shady lodge verandah or in the large sitting room that boasts a 1920s ambience. In the evening, you can enjoy a gourmet meal in the boma under the stars or a candlelit bush setting.
