A small and exclusive safari camp in Kenya – Elephant Bedroom Camp sits on a riverbank underneath douw palms and indigenous trees. The tented camp, in the middle of Samburu National Reserve, has top wildlife sightings and offers the perfect vantage point for game drives. As the name suggests, elephants love to wander through the camp to eat the palm nuts.

About Elephant Bedroom Camp
Built on stilts, overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro River, the luxury tented camp is located in the middle of the Samburu National Reserve. The indigenous trees and doum palms surrounding the tented camp attract herds of elephants, which is where the name comes from. The best thing about the area are the fantastic game sightings you will have on game drives and guided walks.
Guests also get to meet locals from the Samburu tribe who teach guests about their culture and showcase traditional dances. Another highlight is the cuisine at Elephant Bedroom Camp is a highlight and guests can look forward to generous breakfasts, three-course al fresco lunches and four-course dinners served under the stars.

Guests at the Elephant Bedroom Camp can choose from 12 spacious tents that are raised on wooden decks. Each tent has a small plunge pool on the verandah with majestic views over the river and bush (a perfect spot to relax with a glass of wine on hot days!). Decorated in an African style, the tents offer all the amenities of a modern bush camp. Of the 12 tents, four have king-sized beds while the other eight have queen-sized beds. The tents have running water as well as electricity. Elephant Bedroom Camp’s main tent has a lounge and dining room area too.
Note: There are two tents that are being added to the Elephant Bedroom Camp. They will have a bathtub, an external shower and a larger deck area which has a double sunbed and a larger plunge pool.
