Built in the local fashion, Chundukwa River Lodge blends right into its riverside surroundings. This lodge is intimate and private – it can, after all, only accommodate 16 people at one time! So, if you choose to stay here… you will know that you can expect top-class service and a calm and quiet stay. The Zambian side of the Victoria Falls is renowned for its amazing offering of the river- and land-based game drives in a boat or 4×4.
The game-rich area is perfect for your first or second safari, and for spotting the Big Five.

Guests can choose from 5 rustic chalets on stilts that face directly onto the Zambezi River swooshing past. There is 1 family unit, 2 double/ twin rooms and 1 honeymoon suite at the lodge. Each chalet has mosquito nets and fans for an authentic Africa experience. The main lodge has a swimming pool for those hot, sticky summer days and Wi-Fi at a charge.
Guest can also enjoy a river cruise directly from the lodge’s river bank, go canoeing or horse-riding. The kitchen at Chundukwa River Lodge is famous for serving a blend of African cuisine, and meals are served in the main lounge area. A private chef is available for large groups travelling together.
Note: The lodge is best reached by a 35-minute transfer from the Livingstone Airport.
