About Chiawa Camp
The Lower Zambezi National Park is one of Africa’s most scenic wildernesses and home to a wide variety of wild animals. Chiawa Camp and its sister camp Old Mondoro is located in the middle of the prime habitat zone of the Lower Zambezi National Park. It’s here that you can land- and water-based activities.
It’s a romantic camp; guests arrive by boat either from Old Mondoro or further upriver. The camp blends effortlessly into its surroundings so as soon as you step on land, you start feeling like you are part of Africa already. There are birds chirping in the air and elephants wading through the reeds. The camp has a stunning lounge and bar area with two viewing decks that showcase the majestic Zambezi River that gives life to this area. It’s the best spot to watch the sunsets in the evening!
