Beginning at the Malaria Free Madikwe Game Reserve, north west of Johannesburg, a large and beautiful private reserve home to the Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo) plus cheetah and the very rare African Wild Dog.  You will stay in 5 star luxury at Tuningi Safari Lodge – a beautiful 8 suite lodge situated in a valley where elephant, rhino and hundreds of different buck wander past the lodge all day long.  If you have kids, Tuningi is a also a wonderful option with children welcomed and looked after warmly.

Next it’s on to another beautiful, but very different private reserve – the Sabi Sands, which borders the world famous Kruger National Park.  The Sabi Sand is arguably the best game viewing area in South Africa and as such is home to some of the finest safari lodges.  Leopard Hills is no exception.  You will be spoilt by every kind of luxury here, but more importantly the game experience you will have will be second to none. The Sabi Sand is renowned for sightings of ‘the Big cats’ – lion, cheetah and leopard – leopard being the most elusive and therefore exciting of the three!

Itinerary

Day 1:  Arrive ORT International Airport (Johannesburg) where you will be met by a representative of Federal Air and transferred to the Fed.Air Terminal for your one hour flight to Tuningi Safari Lodge 5 star, situated in the malaria free Madikwe Private Game Reserve. Tuningi Safari Lodge 5 star is set in the 165,000 acre Madikwe Private Game Reserve, situated in the North West Province of South Africa and on the border with Botswana. All rooms at Tuningi Safari Lodge have air conditioning, fans and fireplaces, outdoor rock showers and private wrap around wooden decks with views of the bushveld surrounding the Lodge. Outdoor evening dinners are enjoyed under the African night sky, around the big boma fire, where you will be served by the warm, professional and attentive Tuningi staff.

Day 2:  Tuningi Safari Lodge 5 star Madikwe Private Game Reserve. Twice daily game drives and game walks.

Day 4: Depart Tuningi Safari Lodge 5 star on your Federal Air flight back to the Federal Air Terminal JHB where you will re-connect onto a flight to Leopard Hills 5 star, located in the Sabi Sands Reserve, adjoining the Kruger National Park. Leopard Hills is built on a hill overlooking the African bushveld and is world renowned for exceptional game viewing, not only of the Big Five (of which the elusive Leopard is prolific), but also for bird watching. Each chalet has it’s own sun deck and private plunge pool with truly spectacular views of the passing parade of wildlife. The world class spa is a favourite with guests and treatments are either performed under the sala or in the privacy of your luxury suite.

Day 5: Leopard Hills Safari Lodge 5 star Sabi Sands Kruger National Park. Twice daily game drives.

Day 7: Depart Leopard Hills Safari Lodge on your Federal Air flight to Johannesburg and connect onto your flight back home.
