Both Kapama and Timbavati border the Kruger National Park and the Sabi Sands, and is the perfect spot for seeing the Big Five. Kruger & Cape Town Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive at OR Tambo International Airport where you will connect to your flight to Hoedspruit Airport. On arrival, you will be met and transferred 10 minutes by road to Kapama River Lodge in the Kapama Private Game Reserve, which borders the Kruger National Park.

Day 2 – Kapama River Lodge is located on 15,000 hectares of wilderness and is famous for its Big Five sightings. River Lodge is the largest of the Kapama camps and has a large pool, spa and gym available for guests.

Day 3 –Spend your days lazying by the swimming pool, enjoying a G&T and going on game drives. The lodge is beautifully decorated and offers a great vantage point for armchair game viewing. Surrounded by pure wilderness, you can relax completely and unwind.

Day 4 – At a time to be confirmed, you will be transferred about 2 hours by road to Motswari Main Camp located in the Timbavati Private Game Reserve, where you will spend 3 nights.

Located north of Sabi Sands, the Timbavati is unfenced to the famous Kruger National Park. Go on excellent game drives over 60,000 hectares of land – and you might be lucky enough to spot the two white lions! With some of the best game in South Africa, you can also enjoy bird watching (with over 360 species) and the Big Five.

Day 5 –Motswari Main Camp only accommodates up to 30 people so you are ensured a private and quiet stay. Spend your days going on twice daily game drives, enjoy the fine dining in the outdoor boma or inside or relax on a lounger by the pool with a glass of bubbly. The lodge also boasts a mobile spa so that you can really unwind. There’s also a library and art gallery on site for those who want to browse through the artworks created by owner Marion Geiger.

Day 6 –As the Timbavati borders the Kruger National Park, you are guaranteed a great game viewing experience! Take your camera with on your game drives as this reserve is especially famous for its big cats and Big Five but also the smaller mammals. The lodge is family-owned and service levels are outstanding.

Day 7 –At a time to be confirmed by lodge management, you will be transferred 1 hour by road to Eastgate Airport for your flight back to OR Tambo (JNB) and your connecting flight back home.
